In early December 2007, I called Geek Squad to come repair my wireless internet system. The next appointment available was approximately a week later. The agent that came concluded that the problem was my two year old wireless router, and offered to sell me a newer one which I bought. At his suggestion, I also bought security software for my computer. About 1-2 days after this visit from the Geek Squad, my wireless network and internet once again began to malfunction and become inaccessible five to ten times a day. The fee I paid for the service from Geek Squad was, lets just say, significant for approximately 2 hours of work.

On December 26, 2007, when my wireless network and internet became completely nonfunctional, I attempted to contact Geek Squad for help. I was put on hold for over 40 minutes at the 1-800 number, and when I reached someone to talk to, they put me on hold 3 more times before telling me the agent the helped my was “busy and unavailable.” The agent offered to have an agent come by my house in about 10 days. I then called Best Buy, where Geek Squad is headquartered in Lincoln, where I was put on hold for 30 minutes (yes, I timed it this time) before someone got on and told me they were too busy to talk to me today.

While on hold, I found Brad’s PC Repair in the Lincoln phonebook. Brad himself answered the phone on the first ring and was over at my house in about an hour. He was very specific in wanting to know exactly what was wrong and took his time looking at all the computers in the house. When he figured out what was wrong, (it was not the new or old wireless router) he explained it to me, went to the store himself to get the adapters we needed, and fixed the problem. All the computers in my house are running well without a single problem today. Also, he fee was less that half the fee of Geek Squad even though he spent over 3 hours resolving the issues.

In a nutshell: Geek Squad was expensive, late, did not fix the problem, and was not available for questions after their visit.

Brad was cheaper than Geek Squad, on time, fixed the problem, and is available for questions.

I called Brad's PC Repair when our office computer shut down, and after calling a few other places who were of no assistance, Brad came to our office within 20 min. spent the time and patience needed so that I would be able to function once he left. He found our problem, upgraded our computer, added a palm pilot, and also connected two computers to one printer. Brad got us back to work in no time and much more efficient. He has also helped us out with the remote support. It's so great to know help is available when you are in a time crunch and need it right now.

Brad, I just wanted to let you know how great it is to have my computer running at maximum speed once again and thank you for installing the monthly updates to keep it running smoothly. Using my computer is enjoyable now and since you repaired it, I have saved so much time. I will definitely call Brad's PC Repair again when I have future problems and will refer your service to my friends.

This guy is a Wizard. He fixed my computer from his house, via remote access. that is the kind of PC repair you want. He had me download a tool from his website then he logged in and fixed my computer. Then he had me uninstall the tool. It was great!
